The Borealis velomobile shell is custom made for the Trice QNT.

Possible additional options are mechanical or hydraulic disc brakes and lighting systems with hub direct current generator. The Trice QNT can be used either alone as a tricycle or with the Borealis shell as a velomobile.  First time assembly usually takes from 3 to 5 hours, but with practise this time can be reduced to about 2 hours. Removing the trike from the shell takes less than 1 hour and reinstalling it is about the same. 

Steve Schleicher’s many years of experience in fibreglass composite construction is evident in all details of the interior. The whole general impression, from the integrated mirrors to the beautiful, shining surface, simply speaks of every detail being correct.

The Borealis velomobile shell can be installed without modification to any Trice QNT from the 2006 model onward. The cycle becomes completely enclosed and has sufficient accommodation for some luggage under and behind the seat. The large entrance folds to the rear, enabling ease of entry and exit of the cyclist.

Cutouts in the floor of the velomobile offer sufficient freedom for pedaling and make backing up possible. The optional roof is fastened to the body of the velomobile using hook and loop tape and two bolts allowing for easy installation or removal.
